History

Fitzpatrick’s Occupational Therapy Prof. Corp. (FOTPC) was founded in October of 2000 by Ryan Fitzpatrick. With over 20 years of experience we currently have three full-time Occupational Therapists on staff. While our office is located in Saskatoon we offer certain Occupational Therapy services throughout the province of Saskatchewan.

FOTPC provides services in several areas of occupational therapy including Vocational Rehabilitation, Occupational Rehabilitation, Ergonomics, Functional Capacity Testing, Medical/legal Services, Client Education, Home Assessments, Mobility Assessments, Cognitive Assessments, Hand Therapy, as well as other areas of Occupational Therapy.

Owner & Occupational Therapist

RYAN FITZPATRICK

BMR (O.T.), O.T. Reg. (Sask.), C.W.C.E.

Ryan Fitzpatrick, was trained at the University of Manitoba and graduated with a Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation (Occupational Therapy) in the year 2000. Ryan has worked in several areas including Orthopedics, Neurology, Medicine, Pediatrics, as well as Industrial Rehabilitation. Ryan’s current main areas of practice include; Functional Capacity Evaluation, Ergonomics, Hand Therapy and Physical Demands Analysis.

Ryan has gone on to become a Certified Work Capacity Evaluator trained in the Matheson and Associates Functional Capacity Evaluation Certification Program, and has taken numerous post-graduate courses in Functional Capacity Evaluation, Hand Therapy and Chronic Pain Management. He currently is the lead instructor for the post graduate course Clinical Reasoning Through Functional Capacity Evaluation which is taught through the University of Saskatchewan Continuing Education in Rehabilitation Sciences Program. He is also recognized as an expert witness in Functional Capacity Evaluation by the Court of Queen’s Bench for Saskatchewan.

When not working Ryan enjoys spending time with his family camping, fishing and coaching hockey.

Ginette Gatzke

BSc. O.T. Reg (Sask.)

Ginette Gatzke has contracted to Fitzpatrick’s Occupational Therapy since 2017. Ginette graduated from the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Alberta in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy and additionally has a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology through the University of Saskatchewan in 2002 with Distinction. She has worked as an Occupational Therapist for approximately 17 years with a special interest in community based health. She brings a diversity of experience working with both physical and mental health populations. She has experience working across Western Canada and overseas in Australia in varying environments. Ginette also has additional trainings in using yoga as a modality as registered with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists and has her 200 hour Trauma Informed Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Training. In her spare time, Ginette loves spending time with her two sons. She enjoys yoga, meditation, travelling, gardening, and spending time in nature.

Occupational Therapist

Danna Kendzierski

M.O.T. Reg (SK)

Originally from Manitoba, Danna Kendzierski graduated with a Master of Occupational Therapy from the University of Manitoba in 2007 and travelled to Saskatchewan to begin her career as an Occupational Therapist. Although new to Fitzpatrick’s Occupational Therapy, Danna made the move to private practice in 2009 and has spent over a decade working in a variety of environments from workplaces to client’s homes, specializing in helping folks with seating and complex equipment needs. She has worked with individuals with both physical and cognitive injuries to improve their independence at home and in the workplace. In her spare time, Danna rides her horse, putters in the garden, dances, travels, and does photography and yoga.
